Poodle
The Poodle is widely regarded as one of the most intelligent dog breeds in the world, ranking second only to the Border Collie in trainability.
π About the Poodle
Originally bred in Germany as a water retriever β the name "Poodle" comes from the German word "pudeln," meaning to splash β the breed was later refined in France, where it became the national dog. Poodles come in three sizes β Standard, Miniature, and Toy β making them adaptable to a wide range of living situations.
Far from being just a fancy show dog, Poodles are athletic, agile, and excel in obedience, agility, and even hunting. Their distinctive curly coat is hypoallergenic and does not shed, which is a major advantage for allergy sufferers. However, their coat grows continuously and requires regular professional grooming. In India, Poodles are gaining popularity for their intelligence, elegance, and low-shedding coat.
They are eager to please, highly trainable, and form deep bonds with their families.
