Jack Russell Terrier
The Jack Russell Terrier is a small dog with an enormous personality and seemingly limitless energy. Developed in the early 1800s by Reverend John Russell in England for fox hunting, this breed was designed to be bold enough to flush foxes from their dens and fast enough to keep up with hounds on horseback. Jack Russells pack an incredible amount of athleticism, intelligence, and determination into their compact frame. They are fearless, confident, and always ready for adventure – whether it is chasing a ball, digging in the garden, or learning a new trick. Their expressive faces and lively antics make them natural entertainers. In India, Jack Russell Terriers are popular among active owners who appreciate a spirited, low-maintenance companion. Despite their small size, they are not typical lap dogs – they need vigorous daily exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy. A bored Jack Russell can be remarkably creative in finding its own entertainment, often to the dismay of furniture and garden beds.
