Goldendoodle
The Goldendoodle is one of the most popular designer dog breeds in the world, created by crossing a Golden Retriever with a Poodle. First intentionally bred in the 1990s following the success of the Labradoodle, the Goldendoodle was developed to combine the Golden Retriever's gentle, loving temperament with the Poodle's intelligence and low-shedding, hypoallergenic coat. The result is a charming, teddy bear-like dog that has captured hearts worldwide. Goldendoodles come in three size varieties β Miniature (bred with a Miniature Poodle), Medium, and Standard (bred with a Standard Poodle) β making them adaptable to various living situations from apartments to large homes. Their coat can range from straight to wavy to tightly curled, depending on which parent's genes are more dominant, and comes in a beautiful array of colours from classic gold to rich chocolate and striking parti-patterns. What makes the Goldendoodle truly exceptional is its personality β they inherit the best traits of both parent breeds: the Golden Retriever's unwavering friendliness, patience, and love for people, combined with the Poodle's remarkable intelligence, athleticism, and eagerness to learn. They are natural therapy and service dogs, excelling at emotional support work due to their intuitive, empathetic nature. Goldendoodles are famously good with children, welcoming with strangers, and gentle with other pets. Their social, outgoing personality means they thrive in busy, active households where they can be at the centre of family life. In India, the Goldendoodle is gaining rapid popularity among families seeking an intelligent, low-shedding companion that is easy to train and wonderful with children.
