English Bulldog
The English Bulldog is one of the most recognisable and beloved dog breeds in the world, known for its wrinkled face, pushed-in nose, stocky build, and distinctive rolling gait. Originally bred in 13th-century England for the brutal sport of bull-baiting, the modern Bulldog has been transformed through centuries of selective breeding into a gentle, affectionate, and thoroughly lovable companion. Today's English Bulldog is the complete opposite of its fierce ancestors – they are calm, courageous in a quiet way, and incredibly devoted to their families. Bulldogs are famous for their stubborn streak, but this is balanced by their sweet, almost comical personality.
