Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is the quintessential lap dog β a breed that was literally created to be the perfect companion. Named after King Charles II of England, who was famously inseparable from his spaniels, this breed has a centuries-long history of warming royal laps and winning hearts. Cavaliers are gentle, graceful, and endlessly affectionate, with large, expressive eyes that seem to radiate warmth and empathy. They are remarkably adaptable β equally happy on a brisk walk as they are curled up on the sofa. Unlike many toy breeds, Cavaliers retain their sporting spaniel instincts and genuinely enjoy outdoor activities, chasing butterflies, and exploring gardens. They are exceptionally good with children, the elderly, and other pets, making them ideal therapy dogs. In India, the Cavalier is growing in popularity among families and apartment dwellers who want a small, gentle, and loving companion. Their silky coat and sweet expression make them one of the most beautiful small breeds.
