🐾 Breed guide

Beagle

Beagles are cheerful, curious, and full of energy. Originally bred as scent hounds, they have an extraordinary sense of smell and a natural instinct to follow interesting scents. Beagles are wonderful family dogs who get along well with children and other pets. They are compact, sturdy, and adapt well to Indian households. Their merry disposition and expressive eyes make them irresistible. However, they can be vocal – their distinctive howl (or "bay") is something to be prepared for. Beagles are social animals and prefer company over solitude.
